The Chester Food, Drink & Lifestyle Festival is the largest event of its type in the whole of the UK with over 30,000 visitors expected over the three day event and over 150 food and drink exhibitors. There are famous TV chefs to meet including: Paul Rankin, Chris Bavin and Jun Tanaka as well as local chefs all offering free cooking demonstrations on the stage.
The Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival also invites participation from this years festival visitors, as they seek 40 judges to help pick the winning entry for the annual “Sausage of the Festival” competition.
The Chester Food, Drink and Leisure Festival is a truly interactive event, offering lots of food based interaction from its audience. There are adult cooking lessons provided by Harlech Foods which also teaches knife skills, tricks of the trade as well as how to prepare meals and the opportunity to eat what you’ve prepared.
For BBQ lovers there’s the opportunity to hone your skills with cookery lessons from local legend and celebrity chef Brian Mellor, the owner of Harthill Cookery school. Brian will have 8 BBQ’s on the go with regular sessions throughout each day to ensure you leave a BBQ expert.
The Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival also offers children’s cooking classes with James Holden from the Academy of Culinary Arts. The kids cooking classes have been a feature over the last decade and have been growing in popularity. They now teach over 900 children a year to prepare and enjoy a multitude of dishes.
This years Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival will see over 150 exhibitors with dishes from all over the world, a staggering line up of top chefs and plenty of interactive events to ensure a memorable event for any foodie. There is also a live music stage which makes a nice finale when people have visited all the activities and events.
The Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival takes place at Chester Racecourse from the 31st March to 2nd April and online tickets are just £6 for adults with children under 12 free.
