The Thame Country Show is held at the Thame Country Showground on Easter Sunday and Monday and is Oxfordshire’s leading Country Show.
The Thame Country Show is in its eighteenth year and boasts three main arenas and a selection of smaller country sports arenas and workshops and is a spectacular day filled full of countryside activities and entertainment for all the family.
Andy Singleton Arena
Don’t miss the excitement in the largest arena at Thame Country Fair, the Andy Singleton Arena.
Horse Boarding
This exciting extreme equestrian sport is an unmissable event for thrill seekers. You will get the opportunity to see a boarder pulled around a series of obstacles by a galloping horse at speeds up to 28mph. This is a fantastic sport to spectate but watch out for flying mud!
Scurry Trials and Driving
Don’t miss the scurry trials and driving at Thame Country Show, where you will get to see skilled teams of ponies and drivers manoeuvring round an arena of obstacles.
Dog Display Team
Take the opportunity to watch the highly skilled working dog display team, including the abseiling spaniel, the search and find dogs, the security dogs and the amazing fiery climax. An action packed dog themed event not to be missed whilst at the Thame Country Show.
Machine Vs Beast
Equestrian Event – Another extreme, edge of your seat event typical of the Thame Country Show, ponies against machines. The scurry team ponies will be showing their dexterity and skill against a 4×4 Isuzu – Horsepower V Pony power – who will win!
Falconry
A stunning falconry show will also be on at the Andy Singleton Arena of the Thame Country Show. The falconry show will include how thew falcons are used for pest control and sport, how they are worked with hunting dogs and from horse back. For the falconry display grand finale their will be a Tudor-themed Pageant.
The Thame Country Show also has tons of fun packed rural events in all the other arenas not to be missed. There is the World of Dogs Arena, Countryside Arena, Shooting Village, Chainsaw Carving, Have a Go Angling, Traditional Working Crafts, Trade stalls selling anything and everything to do with country living and rural sports. Food Glorious Food with food for tasting and to buy from traditional fare to trend setting delicacies.
